Microaces Bristol F.2b S.No. B1228 'Brisfish'
REVISED KIT with GREATER DETAIL and a PRINTED ASSEMBLY GUIDE
Unusual Paint Schemes - the 'Brisfish'
The latest Microaces Bristol F.2b kit sees a substantial kit revision that incorporates a rib-less wing design for a more scale appearance, plus a number of new scale features and options to make it even more appealing to the scale enthusiast.
The Microaces Bristol F2b kit can arguably reclaim the title of 'the most detailed microscale aircraft of the Microaces range'. Now with strut mounted pitot tube and a 3D printed rotating fuel pressure pump prop mounted on the undercarriage included in the kit.
History in the Making
Our love of aviation history ensures that the aircraft we choose to reproduce as kits not only look fantastic on static display and in the air, but they also carry a depth of history that can be explored. Despite being a two-seater, the Bristol F2b proved to be an agile aircraft that was able to hold its own against opposing single-seat fighters. Versatile as a bomber, fighter and observation aircraft the Brisfit continued in military service until the 1930s.
The 'Brisfish' has a unique and unusual livery thought to been painted for a high ranking officer in one of the training squadrons. It's unique markings turn the aircraft's fuselage into a rampaging fish. This model aircraft will surely stand out as a uniquely interesting subject both in the air and on static display.
The Bristol F.2b was originally designed as a bomber and, although it was much more successful as a fighter aircraft, it retained the capability to carry ordnance on three detachable racks on the underside of the lower wings.
We've 3D modeled the rack of four 25lb Cooper bombs and the more substantial Royal Laboratories 112lb HE bomb and rack that can be attached to any of the three points on the Brisfit to elevate the level of detail of this kit beyond anything available at this scale (and a good deal larger too).
The ordnance can be taken into the air too: the weight of the Cooper Bomb Rack is 1.8g and the RL 112lb Bomb and Rack is even lighter at only 1.2g. So the effect on flight performance is minimal.
Add the ordnance to your order by selecting the desired option above or add each rack separately to your cart by visiting the new Detail Packs page!
3D Printed Pilots
A fantastic enhancement to the kit, that really upgrades the level of realism is a 3 dimensional pilot. Add one to your order for the ultimate 'finishing touch'!
