With all the turmoil that has been happening with the introduction of new tariffs for products entering the USA and the removal of the de minimus $800 threshold for shipments, orders destined for the US from ourselves will now undergo further steps to get to you, BUT the Royal Mail have made it a little easier for us all to manage.
So if you are ordering from the US, your process will not change:
- Order the items you want from the Microaces website - as normal
- Enter your details and payment method at Checkout - as normal
- Wait for your goods to arrive with no extra charges to pay. (We settle the import duties*)
For us, the changes are not too arduous either:
- Make, pick and pack your order - as normal
- Select the PDDP (Postal Delivery Duties Paid) Service from Royal Mail when shipping
- Take the parcels to the Sorting Office - as normal
- Receive a bill from Royal Mail for the Import Duties* and an administration fee.
- Pay the bill!
* Import duties are currently 10% on good from the UK. We also have administration fees which are not precisely known to us just yet.
We have increased $ prices slightly (+13%) on our website to help us re-coup losses from paying the duties ourselves, but it shouldn't make our kits and electronics prohibitively expensive. So please keep purchasing!
The US is a very important and significant portion of our customer base. To loose you now would make Microaces existence very difficult indeed.
