Microaces Sopwith F.1 Camel - Cpt. Roy 'Brownie' Brown

Capt. Roy 'Brownie' Brown's Sopwith Camel

Making History

Microaces love of aviation history ensures that the aircraft we reproduce as kits look fantastic on static display as well as in the air.

This Limited Edition Kit replicates one of the most famous Camels of WWI. On the 21st of April 1918, Canadian Ace, Roy Brown made an attack on the Red Baron's triplane whilst it was attacking one of his fellow pilots. Manfred von Richthofen crashed shortly after and Brown was credited with his death. The facts of the incident have been a source of much research and it is suspected that ground fire played a vital role too.

Included in this multi-media model is a vac-formed cowl, free spinning 3D printed fuel pump prop and rigging part PLUS a spinning dummy rotary engine kit. All these extras add an incredible level of mechanical and visual detail to this astounding model.

This kit now includes a printed Colour Assembly Guide

Limited Edition Kits

Now and again we have reason to create another livery of an existing kit. It may be we find an intriguing new colour scheme or want to honour an historic pilot of note.

A limited edition run usually means no more than 100 kits will ever be produced, so the kit is a rare and collectible item that not every RC pilot will have in their inventory but at no extra cost to you.

Devil in the Detail

There is also an additional Detail Pack available for this model.

The Pack contains four 3D printed 50lb Cooper bombs plus ply and laser cut plastic parts that assemble to replicate the bomb rack, creating an extra-ordinary level of detail never seen in an RC kit of this scale before. When ordering, select the Kit with detail pack to include it in your order!

NOTE: The dummy motor requires an elongated prop shaft for your PKZ3624 motor/gearbox or use a 'rotary ready' Microaces Motor/Gearbox.

Electronics Requirements

This kit was designed around the Microaces AIO Aero Flight Pack with long prop shaft motor. Or can be controlled with the Parkzone PKZ3352 receiver.

3D Printed Pilots

A fantastic enhancement to the kit, that really upgrades the level of realism is a 3 dimensional pilot. Add one to your order for the ultimate 'finishing touch'!
